Mr. Travis Langster is an accomplished aerospace and defense executive with more than 20 years of experience across the U.S. Department of Defense and private industry. He has served in senior leadership positions shaping U.S. defense industrial base modernization, space & missile defense policy, acquisition & sustainment, and is recognized for his ability to bridge government, industry, and international ecosystems to deliver mission outcomes.

Currently, Travis is the Founder and CEO of Tora Consulting, where he provides strategic advisory and consulting services to space, national security and defense companies and international government organizations. He brings unique insight in providing strategic counsel, navigating complex business opportunities, integrating existing and emerging technologies, performing investment due diligence and leveraging his experiences and network from prior industry and government roles. In this capacity his international portfolio includes engaging Taiwan in the manufacturing and semiconductor industry on the recovery and recycling of critical minerals for secure supply chains, identifying investments under the U.S.-Taiwan trade agreement, identifying opportunities for Taiwan industry and suppliers to open U.S. owned subsidiaries, advising Taiwan civil and military ministries how to leverage space for national resilience; advising Japanese industry on partnering with U.S. industry for national security opportunities, and developing U.S. - Japan government and industry partnerships and investments in critical minerals.

Previously, Travis served as the U.S. Department of Defense's Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense in Acquisition and Sustainment, where he led the implementation of the National Defense Industrial Strategy, produced financial assessments of Defense suppliers, and led interagency acquisition initiatives of major U.S. weapons systems. Earlier, as Principal Director for Space and Missile Defense Policy, authored and executed the Defense Department's first Commercial Space Integration Strategy, ushered in the implementation of the Department's space priorities and investment roadmap and re-organized the Departments international military space cooperation initiatives for operational missions.

Before entering federal service, Travis worked in the private sector for more than 20 years. He held roles as General Manager for a commercial software companies managing P&L, organizational management, partnerships and operations. His company portfolios spanned satellite operations, space security, intelligence, missile defense, and multi-domain mission operations.

Travis earned a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University and was recognized as Outstanding Aerospace Engineer of the Year in 2021.
